Some of the more than 1.3 million electrical appliances recycled by Sims E-Recycling over the last 3 years

Did you know? During the last three years in Australia and New Zealand alone we have diverted more than 1.3 million waste electrical and electronic products from landfill sites.

Each product consignment is tracked via a job number to allow accurate reporting to clients

Electrical and electronic products recovered for refurbishment or recycling

An example of the range of e-waste recycled by Sims Recycling Solutions

Sims Recycling Solutions recovers a wide range of electrical and electronic items in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner, in accordance with ISO 14001 Environmental Standards.

Hazardous substances found in electronic waste include lead, mercury, beryllium, cadmium, lithium, bromine, phosphor, antimony and barium. When E-Waste products are disposed to landfill, leaching occurs, releasing toxic and hazardous substances into surrounding ecosystems, causing long term health and environmental problems. Therefore environmental recycling is a much more favourable option.

Sims Recycling Solutions and Trishyiraya Recycling recover and recycle:

  • Large domestic appliances including refrigerators, washing machines, electric cookers, microwave ovens, dish washing machines, electric fans, electric radiators
  • Small domestic appliances including toasters, irons, vacuum cleaners and hairdryers
  • IT and telecommunications equipment including laptops, servers, photocopiers, phones, printers, monitors, fax machines
